Dear Friends,
I’m Roberta Stanwood, the Director of Accent Training Resources (ATR). I am a certified speech-language pathologist with a special interest and certification in foreign accent modification.
As you probably already know, anyone learning a second language, especially after the teenage years, will have some degree of accent in their new language. It’s a natural occurrence for all second language learners.
Sometimes, however, your accented English may be so prominent that your conversations are difficult to understand. This is my area of expertise and at Accent Training Resources it is the focus of my work.
To learn English it took time, effort, practice and dedication. You have learned the grammar, you know the vocabulary and you speak English fluently. Yet, you are not clearly communicating your thoughts and ideas. At ATR I can help you improve the way you speak English so that others will understand your ideas.
